¿ES INEVITABLE EL CONFLICTO ENTRE CIENCIA Y RELIGIÓN? Será el tema sobre el que ofrecerá una conferencia LUZ MARINA DUQUE M. el martes 28 de enero de 2014
El caso Galileo ha sido emblemático para mostrar la imposibilidad de reconciliación entre razón y fe. No suele mencionarse que, a pesar de la distinción metodológica que Galileo establecía entre esos dos campos, él era católico creyente. Hoy en día Ian Barbour ha propuesto al menos cuatro maneras diferentes de relación entre ciencia y religión: conflicto, integración, diálogo e independencia. En la charla se explicará cada una de esas posibilidades, se ofrecerán ejemplos y se mostrará cómo el conflicto se da particularmente entre el cristianismo y la ciencia.
